Buying a Condo

Well we are moving to Utah and we are thinking of buying a home. It is quite a hassle. There is so much involved in getting the loan (qualifying, how much money, how much down payment, and so forth). Then you need to find a place that is of interest. We have our eye on a condo in Pleasant Grove. We’ll still have to wait and see what happens for us. If all else fails, we’ll rent Wyview or somewhere.

We’d like to get more credit history and with a house loan I think that it would definitely improve. Wish us luck.

Buying a home is a huge hassel. Best of luck. Why are you headed back to Utah? Are you done with school and getting a job? Going back for more school? We talk of going back to Utah but teacher and school administrator pay is so low there and the cost of living there keeps going up. I don’t think we ever will.

We are going back to Utah to finish school at BYU. I’ve been accepted into the PhD program and it is a great opportunity to do research and save money. (BYU is paying for the rest of my education and also paying a stipend).

Yes, we are looking to see if it is possible to buy a home or a condo to start to have our rent money going to something positive for us and not just to someone else if at all possible. We’ll see.

It is actually quite a surprise to think that we’re headed back earlier than anticipated or planned.
