Update: Christmas & Holiday’s 2007
It has been awhile since we have given an update (now somewhat outdated).
Christmas in Delta
We spent the holiday season primarily in Provo, however, for Christmas we were able to go down to Delta. We were able to see all of the siblings and cousins on my side of the family. It was a lot of fun. I’m glad we could make it. The kids loved hanging out with the cousins.
Christmas Eve was a little sad because Oscar was sick and throwing up. But the next day he was feeling a little better to open his presents in the morning. Oscar got a big boy trike and lots of Cars toys and the movie. He was very excited. Lily received a baby and some other things (its been a while now). We had fun with the family and the good food that was prepared while we were there.
New Years in Provo
Then on New Years Eve, Marlene and I spent a quiet night together and watched the ball drop. It was great. We drank sparkling cider and had a good time.
Lily’s birthday
A fun little 2 year old party was held on January 4th for Lily and her little girlfriends. She got a lots of fun little toys and a baby crib for her baby from Christmas. Check the photos on flickr under the set named Lily’s 2nd Birthday party. Marlene’s mom came from Oregon for the party and it was nice to see her for a few days.
News: Interesting news right now: James Brown died, Saddam Hussein was hung, and I took second place in the 2006 Badlands Fantasy Football League. I lost the final game to Brandon. Next year I’ll come back and beat everyone.

Hey, nice updates! I loved the clips that you put up. And it was definitely interesting reading your quotes. I really liked the first one where it talked about letting your light shine forth. It’s so true that you sharing your light will open up a way for others to find the light inside them. I think that’s why I gravitate to people with amazing personalities that inspire me to become something great. We have the potential to become whatever we pursue!

I think that you’re right. That was one of my favorite quotes on the mission and many cited Nelson Mandela as the speaker of it. To me: I think that I often tell myself that I can’t or aren’t able to do something more based on fear or worries and that really Heavenly Father created us so why should we not see the potential that he has given us (as his children). Thanks for commenting. I’ll have more posts shortly.
