Marlene is acting as the secretary of the Historic Provo Preservation Foundation and she loves it. Here are a few pictures of the current project that the foundation is working to save. Check out the set. There are a few photos of the surrounding houses that the foundation is also trying to purchase. They would like to make it into a cultural arts center for organ recitals and artwork on the walls. Also possibly could be a wedding hall.
It is pretty exciting but they are currently trying to get funding for the project to proceed (to purchase the church and the surrounding area so that it doesn’t get taken down and made into something else (i.e., large apartment complexes).
