Update
We have had a pretty busy week. Wow! Well, I’ll start with that we are anxiously anticipating the next few weeks. Next week is the Scoville Family Reunion in Richfield. We should have some fun on four wheelers and bikes. Then the next week we’ll have a visit from Grandma Schaefer (plans changed and she was unable to come because of Grandpa Schaefer’s stroke).
This week I was transferred from the Triple A program in Loa to Outback in Lehi, Ut. So the drive will be a lot smaller and I’ll be able to stay home at nights. We’ll see how that goes.
Saturday - was busy. To start off, we did our shopping in the morning. Then we went to Midway for David Giles’ fiance’s bridal shower. We had fun. We got to all the cousins and their children. Oscar was happy to see Jake Giles. He and Lily also liked jumping on the trampoline. I went for a little bike ride to see Grandma Michie’s house and the surrounding area. Alot of new homes being built in the backyard almost, in the field between grandma’s yard and elementary school. The homes are nice but they seemed to be cookie cutter like homes (not like Nate and his families cabin up the midway canyon).
We then went to a birthday party for an old friend from our first ward that we lived in after we got married back in 2001 (part of the BYU 93rd Ward). It was nice to see them, he had been my home teaching companion in that ward. We had lost track of them for years. Lots of good memories that were brought up by the visit. It was good to see their kids and how much they’d grown up.
We then sped off home to catch the baby sitter of our kids. We were going to see Kiss Me Kate the musical at the Scera Outdoor Theater. We were there with Missy and Greg Giles. They had better seats but it was nice to talk with them at the start, intermission, and the end. We love the season tickets that we have. We’ve really had fun with it.School will be starting soon. I can’t believe it but this has been a really nice summer. We’ve done some fun things and can’t wait for the events that are left for the summer.
