Do you think Dennis Rodman would make a good coach?

Question of the hour: A news blug indicated that the rumors are true. Dennis Rodman considers himself to be an excellent candidate to be professional basketball coach. He desires to coach one of the Women’s NBA Teams. His philosophy is that he will teach his team how to play solid defense (of which he is good) and rebound (he did that too) and run the famous “triangle offense” best known as used by Phil Jackson (who has won numerous NBA titles).

Rodman, himself, has been a member of 5 NBA teams (2 with the Detroit Piston “Bad Boys” and 3 with the Chicago Bulls. Not too shabby, neither are the seven consecutive years he lead the league in rebounding (league record) and also named to the First-Team NBA All-Defensive squad seven times.

Even with all that I question whether or not he will be a good fit as an NBA coach. His ability to control his temper has been lacking at times (but there are many coaches with that same problem and they do well and are still coaching, e.g., Coach Knight at Texas Tech and formerly at Indiana University).

I don’t have the answer but I think it would be interesting to see so maybe would should give him a shot.
