Web Browsers: For Macs
My favorite Webbrowsers for Macs:
My Top 3:
1) Safari - Apple has recently come out with the 3rd version of their famous Safari browser. It is very fast and runs great on the Mac. It doesn’t autosave your tabs and browsers as Firefox does so if it shuts down - you don’t have anything saved. But it is extremely quick.
2) Camino - this is a safari-like browser Mozilla corporation that has incorporated the firefox extensions and browser restore feature into aSafari-looking browser. Excellent on speed.
3) Firefox - I love this browser for the PC. It runs a little slower on the mac but still does well. I prefer Safari or Camino over them. The extensions again are a great feature. Far and away better than internet explorer.
Honorable Mention:
4) Flock - I do love the Flock browser and it just updated to official 1.0 version. It has some great blogging, photo sharing (e.g., Flickr) and monitoring features, however, in so doing it uses up a lot RAM power. I have 2GB RAM on our Apple iMac at home and it still runs slower than both Safari and Firefox. It does seem to run slower on the Mac.
5) Opera - Is a fun browser that has a bittorrent service integrated with it. I have used it in the past but I have gone back to the old faithful for Macs = Safari. I love Safari for the Mac.
