Lily is so excited to be 3 and not 2. Ask her about it. She’ll gladly tell you and show you that she is three with her fingers and say “I’m free”.
It is so cute. This is picture with her Grandma Schaefer a few days ago (an early family party before we came back to Provo, UT).

Happy Birthday Lily!!!
Hey - it looks like Lily had a nice pre-birthday party with Grandma Schaefer. How did the actual birthday day go? It was fun chatting with her for a few minutes, even though, I didn’t really understand what she was talking about. I guess I need to revert back to the “free” year old days.

I know. I think I need to at times. Sometimes it is tough understanding her, especially on the phone. But if you keep at it and just keep asking her to repeat herself. When you do get it and she knows you understand her, she’s like “Yeah Daddy that is what I was saying all along.” I think “Ohh, I should have got it the first time.”
But she sounds really adorable. I love her little laugh too.
