We didn’t come in to compete. They plainly outplayed us. We were riding high on the Oklahoma win and we were flattened. I’m still a proud BYU fan but I would have been more so if we had won.
This is a comedic take on some of what happens in the background at ESPN. This version of Mayne Street is only a few minutes long but it got me laughing. **BYU gets a nice little plug from Kenny Mayne.
BYU’s top recruit that just signed with them a few days ago. I heard alot about this guy on the radio but didn’t know much more. Here is a highlight reel of his 2008 season. You can also find some on his 2007 season. I’m excited. He’s going to be a nice addition to the BYU QB tradition.

Now although it is true that Leroy Smith beat out Michael for the Varsity team during their sophomore years, it was a decision based on size and even Leroy admits to that. However, this is a funny video and also a convenient way to make some money if you’re Leroy Smith because Michael made alot of money of the videos he made about how he was cut from the team. Great win by the Utah Jazz against a great Los Angeles Lakers team. Nice game Boozer and Millsap. A great combo. Keep up the work Deron.
The Utah Jazz came away with a great win tonight against the Boston Celtics. It was great. Deron Williams and Matt Harpring were clutch.
The Jazz are getting healhy and coming on strong. They need to keep it up. They have beaten the L.A. Lakers and the Boston Celtics in the last week; both teams from the NBA Finals last year. Both of which are playing excellent basketball this year and right now in he year.
Way to go Jazz.
Great movie.
Tonight I went out with a couple of friends from the Marriage and Family Therapy Program (Nate, Jeff, and Triston). We went to see the movie Forever Strong. It was a great movie. I know that it has been out in the theaters for months but I just haven’t been able to go see it. Marlene wasn’t too thrilled with the idea when it first came out so I’ve put it on the backburner until tonight.
I really enjoyed the movie. I like the sports; Rugby is a tough sport. I can appreciate it more now than before. It had romance, drama, parent-child problems, sadness, and action.
I’m impressed by the longevity of the coach at the Highland High School and his dedication to the players themselves. They have a long line of history, tradition, and commitment to themselves to perform to the best of their ability on the field; as well as off the field.
I believe this movie also speaks to the tremendous power of relationship when trying to help adolescent boys and girls try to change. I think that too often we try to make changes in our kids because of things that we want for them and not for what they are actually saying. If you haven’t seen this movie, I’d say go to the dollar theater and see it or rent it at the local Blockbuster.
Review: Two Thumbs Up!
What the heck is BYU’s problem? Why can’t our football team cremate these teams in the mountain west that just aren’t very good. Yes, they say these teams played good against them. But they haven’t played this good against Utah or other teams. I am getting really scared about the BYU / Utah game. I think that Utah has more of the killer instinct that will be to BYU’s downfall. I’m not predicting a loss by BYU but I am saying I’m pretty worried.
Please BYU. Please start to annihalate the teams you are playing. Defense you need to get going and keep these crummy teams from getting into these games. Remember Washington. We don’t need a thriller every game. If you want to be considered as a national title contender you need to cream teams all year long by huge margins, especially when we are coming from the Mountain West conference. No offense to the MWC but this conference doesn’t have the reputation that SEC or Big 12 or Big 10 conferences have.
We need to come in like warriors and kill San Diego State University next week. Please.

We’ll await and see if he can pull off the amazing 8 Golds in a single Olympics. He is now the most decorated Olympic athlete of all-time. He has 11 all-time Olympic Golds and 2 additional Bronze medals from the 2004 Athens games.
In the middle of June, the second team that I was hoping would win the NBA Finals did. The Boston Celtics capped the amazing comeback year with their first NBA title since the mid 1980’s back during the Larry Bird era.
I am happy for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen and the other players who accomplished this. Of course, I love the Utah Jazz and were sad to see that they lost to LA Lakers earlier in the playoffs. I hope that they’ll come back next year with a vengeance. I love Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, R. Price, R. Brewer, M. Okur, and Paul Millsap (I’m glad they signed him for another year). He has amazing hustle quality that I know Jerry Sloan loves.
