World Cup 2010
Although I’m sad that the U.S.A. and Brasil have been eliminated from the World Cup 2010. This is a great image from the underdog match that is happening right now. It is in extra time and still 1-1. Oscar has loved watching whatever moments of the world cup that he can. Maybe I’ll have some sports fans in the family with me after all.
Stephanie Nielson
Over the last several years my wife has followed the blog and life of Stephanie Nielson. At times I thought she was obsessed and needed to take a break from following her blog. However a few years ago now she and her husband were in an airplane crash in which both were securely burned. Stephanie is an amazing example of resilience and perseverance despite the lasting marks of the devastating plane crash that has left her more effected than her husband whom she calls Mr. Nielson.

Nick Vujicic
This is a pretty amazing story of young man that has faced adversity from his birth and has found his voice to be able to share with others how to cope with the difficulty of his life. He talks about 3 important issues when dealing with adversity 1) perspective 2) vision 3) choices.
The main focus of this for me isn’t the religious meaning he found in his life but that found meaning and has pursued this relentlessly so that he could find happiness and joy. I also love the book Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.
