Great win by the Utah Jazz against a great Los Angeles Lakers team. Nice game Boozer and Millsap. A great combo. Keep up the work Deron.

Utah Jazz wins

The Utah Jazz came away with a great win tonight against the Boston Celtics. It was great. Deron Williams and Matt Harpring were clutch.

The Jazz are getting healhy and coming on strong. They need to keep it up. They have beaten the L.A. Lakers and the Boston Celtics in the last week; both teams from the NBA Finals last year. Both of which are playing excellent basketball this year and right now in he year.

Way to go Jazz.

Boston Celtics win the NBA Finals

By Phil Scoville, July 2, 2008 10:13 pm

In the middle of June, the second team that I was hoping would win the NBA Finals did. The Boston Celtics capped the amazing comeback year with their first NBA title since the mid 1980′s back during the Larry Bird era.

I am happy for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen and the other players who accomplished this. Of course, I love the Utah Jazz and were sad to see that they lost to LA Lakers earlier in the playoffs. I hope that they’ll come back next year with a vengeance. I love Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, R. Price, R. Brewer, M. Okur, and Paul Millsap (I’m glad they signed him for another year). He has amazing hustle quality that I know Jerry Sloan loves.

Utah Jazz Net Worth…

By Phil Scoville, January 30, 2008 2:16 pm

My favorite NBA basketball team is worth $342 million dollars. Larry H. Miller has a nice investment. Although they are worth that amount, they rank only 16th in the league for net worth. Many teams that I expected such as the Celtics, the Lakers, the Bulls, the Mavericks, but some surprising teams were above us such as the New York Knicks as the team with the highest net worth. They haven’t been good in years, but there worth is still high. I thought for sure the Lakers would be the highest. It probably has more to do with location, since NY is so great and the LA is number two, but that isn’t it all because the New Jersey Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers both are a ways down the list, below Utah.

Utah Jazz Last Night

By Phil Scoville, December 1, 2007 7:58 am

Great game by the Utah Jazz last night to beat out the Los Angeles Lakers. I always like seeing Kobe shut down and the Lakers lose. As my childhood NBA team, I have fond memories of the team and love to see them now as they regrown and established themselves as a contender in the league. Since Karl Malone (joined the Lakers and then retired) and John Stockton (retired) and starting fresh, the Jazz have had some struggles in reestablishing themselves and then last year was excellent. Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, Andre Kirelinko have all had great seasons so far again this year. Additionally, Ronnie Brewer, Ronnie Price and others have stepped up and made significant contributions for the team.

I can’t wait to see them continue their quest of success this year. What does this say about our storied coach, Jerry Sloan? It says great things about his ability to coach and guide young players into greatness. His ability to coach is magnificent.
