Star Wars: The Kids Acting

Here is a widget of the Schmap! California Guide. One of our Flickr Pictures with Creative Commons license was used in the making of this guide. The picture is published. I believe Marlene took the picture for it; however, it was my flickr account so I am getting credit for it. But so you all know she did it I think.
The picture is one of Oscar at the Museum by the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, CA. Look up the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits and we are one of the pictures. Hope you can see it. Or click here and you’ll see the picture used.

Controversy about the reality of an actual photograph or a photo of a painting of the Prophet Joseph Smith. What is real? I haven’t found out definitive answers but here are two sites that provide “research” for their given belief.

Some say the photo originates from a painting of a daguerreotype from just before his death. Read more at Joseph Smith Painting. Others say it comes from a photograph of the daguerreotype which was commissioned by one of Joseph’s sons. Check out their research here.
Both sites say the daguerreotype, regardless of the subsequent format of this photo (painting or photo), was about the size of postal stamp. Really small! I think this is pretty interesting.
The church’s response to this controversy has been recorded in the Deseret News. To read the article click here. Post comments below on the subject.
Join forum discussion - (1) PostsThis last weekend we went to visit Spencer and Jonene and the girls. We had a great time. Spencer was generous with his time and talents and performed Henry’s circumcision. Although it was hard to see him go through this pain, Spencer did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about the process and Henry was pretty relaxed from the pain medication. Henry has done great since and hasn’t really seemed to feel horrific pain. He seems to be healing nicely.
Spencer and I took the kids out sledding on Saturday afternoon. We had fun. Oscar and Lily were great little climbers and sledders on the hill. Abbie, Kenzie, and Ella were also great. They were all so daring. We had a great time. Thanks, Spencer and Jonene for your hospitality.
We’ll have some pictures posted soon. Also look for some shots by Spencer on his flickr account.
